However, the Zinfandel story doesn't begin in Puglia, nor in Italy, nor even in Europe. It all began around 1820 in California, where a new grape variety made its debut: Zinfandel. In the 150 years that followed, Zinfandel experienced great popularity, as did Primitivo, incidentally. However, in 1972, a remarkable discovery was made: the American
